Established in 1980, China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (hereinafter abbreviated as CHMC) is a company specialized in the contracting of complete plant and technology for
construction projects at home and abroad, import and export, and equipment tendering. CHMC has got the right for trade, economic and technical cooperation with foreign countries approved by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of P.R.China. CHMC has got Certificate of Qualification for ISO 9001. CHMC is a State Class A Company for Tendering Equipment for Construction Projects in China, and a State Class A Company for Supplying Complete Set of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment. CHMC has the qualification of Class A Agency of Tendering Equipment for Technical Upgrading Projects, the qualification for Agency for Governmental Purchases, and the Class B qualification for International Tendering Organization. In 1998, CHMC ranked as one of the 500 top enterprises in China for its large volume of import and export business.
CHMC has contracted over 800 large and middle sized complete plant in more than 20 countries and regions, in the fields of metallurgy, mining, ports, construction materials, forging and pressing, urban water supply, environmental protection, electrical power, bridges, railways, grain depots, airports, urban construction, chemical industry, water conservation, and nuclear power. Some of the projects are the 2nd and 3rd phases of Baosteel Group, Yuanbaoshan Open-pit Coal Mine, Xinsha Iron Ore Terminal in Guangzhou Province, mechanical pressing lines for General Motors (Thailand) and IBC Vehicles Ltd. in the United Kingdom, Essa Cement Plant in Pakistan, as well as projects in Myanmar such as 2,000t/d Sugarcane Mills, 120MW TIGYIT Coal-fueled Thermal Power Station, Thanlwin Bridge (Mawlamyine), TIGYIT Open-pit Coal Mine, and KUN Hydropower Station. These projects were awarded with various prizes by domestic and international institutes.
